The Day Peckinpaugh was recently spotted moored at the Lock 6 State Canal Park near Cohoes, NY. This motorship was built in 1921 for the purpose of hauling freight on the New York State Barge Canal, which is what we call the Erie Canal today.
The Day Peckinpaugh is no mini-boat. It is 259 feet long and 36 feet wide. According to its Wikipedia page, the ship has had a long and colorful history.
