In the previous two posts we investigated a JVC XL-R302BK CD player that was not working. It turns out that the belt was too old and slippery. A replacement belt was installed and the player reassembled. The result was total success. Here is a demonstration of the player in action.
When the JVC XL-R302BK starts it searches for a start point. Once the proper CD is selected, the pickup mechanism focuses on the disc and then searches for the Table of Contents (TOC). The machine is then ready to play the disc. In this video we see the machine advancing from one disc to the next, exactly as it is supposed to do.
