New Project: JVC 5-Disc CD Changer

I acquired this JVC XL-R302BK 5-disc CD changer recently. It seems that it does not work for some reason. A little investigation should tell us something more.

This JVC XL-R302BK is a rather unusual CD changer by modern standards. The typical current models of 5-disc changers feature drawers that slide in and out with a carousel in the drawer. This player has a lid that lifts up to gain access to the carousel.

Isn’t this cool? Lift the lid on this JVC XL-R302BK and you can deal with up to 5 CDs. The trouble is, this player is not working right. The carousel does not turn reliably. Next post we will know more.
