The first major step in the repair of the Pioneer PD-M410 was to install a new power cord. It just so happened that I had a legit power cord ready to go. I removed to remnants of the original cord and saved the strain relief. Then I threaded the new cord in and soldered it onto the power board as you can see in the photo on the right.
Well, well, well … the new power cord was a success! The CD player powered up very nicely. The main panel was bright and rather charming. So, now we have to find out if it plays or not.
