With the old foam surrounds removed and the speaker frames and cones cleaned up, the next step was to install the new foams following the SimpleSpeakers.com instructions.

The trick to installing the foam surrounds is the pressing
The trick to installing the foam surrounds is to follow the instructions to the letter. Do not rush, and take as much time as necessary to allow the glue to set up as you work your way around the speaker while pressing the foam.

Wires connected to woofer
I marked the speaker connection posts prior to removing the wires. Reconnect was easy because red went to red and black went to black, or in this case, black went to “nothing”.
